San Francisco, January 2002

I'm not really a huge fan of traveling, especially traveling alone to places I've never been to before where I don't have any friends or family. In short, business travel isn't really very high on my list of things that I enjoy. We're rolling out this big new product at work though, and they've given us an incredibly short timeframe to have it implemented by. In order to bring us up to speed as quickly as possible, they decided to send us to the soonest training classes, even though that meant going out of state to attend them.

So, with about two days to plan my trip, I got everything I needed all set and booked my flight and travel plan with the help of the administration office at work. Since I didn't really want to travel, I figured I might as well try to make the best of it by taking my camera and my laptop from work so I could take pictures and write stuff for my web site if there was nothing else to do. As it turns out, I found tons of stuff to take pictures of (155 pictures over the week) but never spent much time writing anything on the computer.

So without blabbing on forever about every street I walked down or the details of the food market which was roughly the size of the master bathroom at my house, I'll just dive right in to the pictures. As always, email me with any questions or comments.

Downtown from Twin Peaks
January 25th, I took this from the northern lookout point at Twin Peaks. The huge road off to the right is Market Street, and One Market Street (where I had my classes) is at the very end. My hotel is somewhere in the middle of all that.
