So pretty much every since things have started to not look so good at work, I've been going ahead and using my vacation time to actually get out of town and enjoy life rather than just being stuck at work wondering when they're going to lay everyone off and send the jobs to India. When my parents called saying they had a chance to get a great deal on a beach front condo at Kure Beach (pronounced like "curry") North Carolina, it sounded good to me. Southwest Airlines being the low price leader that they are, I booked a flight for a little over $200 and set out to enjoy some time away from work. I got about the worst sunburn of my life by the 3rd day there, but overall it was still a real nice time.
