     This is the page where I ramble about myself, or write up things that wouldn't otherwise fit neatly in some sort of category. Over time, this is where you may see commentary about topics, stuff about myself, or maybe a rant or two about anything that is bothering me at the moment. Although those of you who know me already know all about my R/C and "real" car racing stuff, I don't write a whole lot about any of that here, since I use my other site, autocrossing.com to write about that stuff. I do from time to time mention some of the car stuff here though, usually because I just enjoy updating this site more.

     The other main reason I decided to create this site, and specifically this page was that I let autocrossing.com get away from just being my own site to do whatever I wanted with. Pretty soon I found myself hosting all kinds of SCCA stuff. The schedule, links to other regions, pre-registration, the results, and even a messageboard used almost exclusively by Arizona region autocrossers. I actually started getting complaints about how the site didn't seem professional enough for the region! It also no longer seemed like the right place to write about non-car things, especially having the name that it does.

     Thus, this site was born around August of 2001 to give me a place to write whatever I wanted to and host my growing collection of photography without feeling pressured to make any of it relate back to cars and have it delivered to a much smaller audience, since I don't do any promotion for this site, and have never officially registered it with any search engines.

     So here it is, the site that was requested by no one, openly biased towards me, and serving the interests of exactly zero special interest groups. This is the site for Brandon Smith.
